Leslie Abélard grew up in the Piney Woods of Deep East Texas and later moved
to Austin for her university studies.
In 1999, she moved to France after having visited on several occasions.
She had always been touted as having "artistic sense", but had not yet found
her niche. She made very basic jewelry repair from early on with no
training, but had not yet consider the possibility of making her own
jewelry.
She started taking jewelry classes after the death of her maternal
grandmother, Naomi Page Forney and all her work is dedicated to her memory.
After perfecting the basics, Leslie began creating her own designs. She is
now offering them for sale to the general public.
"Life is a journey, not a destination, and happiness is not 'there' but here, not tomorrow, but today."
